The 911 system set to transfer calls requiring health emergency needs to trained personnel in order to give aide until EMTs arrive is almost ready to deploy. The call can be connected to someone who can talk a person through an emergency, possibly saving a life, such as CPR instruction or any other type of first aid needed until the ambulance arrives.

Items on the agenda also included an ordinance to appropriate funds to replace the server (computer) connected with the Assessor and Collector’s offices. Also, due to the large jury pool and real possibility of an upcoming jury trial, more funds are needed for the cost of jurors. Lastly, funds were appropriated for a mobile app for OES-Emergency Services.

Other discussion included approval to buy the abstract building adjacent to the library for $12,000. Roof repair and renovation will also be involved in order to bring the building to usability. The administration building is also in need of major fixing of water leakage and repair at somewhere in the neighborhood of $50,000.

Before adjoining, the judge asked what the court thought about putting the tax back on the ballot to try again, since it didn’t pass. There was no decision or vote to proceed.
