C.A.R.E Celebrates 20 Years

20

CALHOUN ANIMAL RESCUE EFFORT celebrates 20 years of rescue, rehabilitating and re-homing. Organized in 2004, we are a 501c3 non-profit organization. Many people are unaware about CARE's existence!? Care is 100% volunteer providing low cost spay neuter clinics 3 times a year to anyone no county restrictions. Prevention is the key to animal control! Think about these numbers: 20 years, 3 clinics per year, 100 animals per clinic=6000 animals sterilized. If each animal was responsible for a litter of 6 (litters are often larger, CARE helped humanely prevented 36,000 unwanted puppies and kittens. This does not include the numbers at the current clinic. The next clinic is May 28-30.

Clinics are hard work but worth the work. A big thank you goes to Ozark Mountain Mobile Spay/ Neuter, Dr. Joanna McManus, DVM , and Matt for making this service available.

Volunteers are vital to the program, fosters and community support is needed. We are a small group with big plans. Volunteers consists of people from various areas and Hampton students. CARE promotes responsible pet ownership and humane treatment. There is something for everyone to do, spread the word, donate, foster, transport to vet or rescues, fundraising, be creative send ideas to make CARE known. Thank you for your support, we appreciate all.

Thank you to the brains behind Ozark Mountain Mobile, Diane & Glen Ladner, for scheduling the clinics, operations, troubleshooting.
