Forty-two seniors will participate in graduation exercises at Hampton High School on Friday, May 17, at 7:00 p.m. in the school gymnasium. Class Valedictorian, Shakara Miles, and class Salutatorians, Tianna Moore and Alaina Welch, will address the class. Mr. Bryan Sanders, Principal, will recognize scholarship recipients, followed by the presentation of the class and the awarding of diplomas by Mr. Matt Scarbrough, Superintendent of Hampton Schools.
Continued on page 3, see Honor Graduates Announced Shakara Miles, daughter of Karl and Sheila Miles, is the class Valedictorian with a grade point average of 4.0833. While attending Hampton High School, Shakara has been a member of Beta Club, FBLA, Women of Wisdom, Gifted and Talented, Bulldog Buddies, National Society of High School Scholars, Hampton Lady Bulldog Basketball, Tennis, Softball, and Cheer teams. Shakara attended Arkansas Girls State in the summer of 2023 and she was one of two seniors recognized by Governor Sarah Sanders on The Governor’s Scholastic Honors Day for excellent academic achievement in the senior class.
She plans to attend Southern Arkansas University to major in Exercise Science. She then plans to go to UAMS to obtain her Doctorate of Physical Therapy and work as a physical therapist.
Tianna Moore, daughter of LaVansky and Thaquila Moore, is a class Salutatorian with a grade point average of 4.0816. While attending Hampton High School, Tianna has participated in Beta Club, FBLA, Women of Wisdom, Bulldog Buddies, Gifted and Talented, and Cheer. Tianna was also one of two seniors recognized by Governor Sarah Sanders on Governor’s Scholastic Honors Day for excellent academic achievement in the senior class.
She plans to attend Southern Arkansas University to major in Pediatric Nursing.
Alaina Welch, daughter of Jim and Nikki Welch, is a class Salutatorian with a grade point average of 4.0816. While attending Hampton High School, Alaina has been a member of Beta Club, Gifted and Talented, Women of Wisdom, the Social Media Director for Student Council, Vice President of Bulldog Buddies, President of FBLA, Hampton Lady Bulldog Softball and Cheer teams, and is the Vice President of the Senior Class.
She plans to attend Southern Arkansas University and major in Elementary Education.
Matison Williams , daughter of Matt and Caira Williams, is ranked fourth with a grade point average of 4.0769. While attending Hampton High School, she has been a member of Beta Club, FBLA, Bulldog Buddies, Student Council, Women of Wisdom, and a Four Year Bulldog Scholar. Matison also attended Arkansas Girls State in the summer of 2023.
She plans to attend Southern Arkansas University and major in Pre-Health Biology.
Reece Bailey, son of Candy Calloway and Brian Bailey, is ranked fifth with a grade point average of 4.0204. While attending Hampton High School, Reece has been a member of the Future Farmers of America, First Priority, Student Council, Robotics Club, Bulldog Buddies, and a Volunteer at C.A.R.E.
He plans to attend Lyon College and major in Biology. He then plans to attend Veterinary School and become a large and small animal veterinarian.
Luke Ferguson, son of Alan and Susan Ferguson, is ranked sixth with a grade point average of 4.0200. While attending Hampton High School, Luke has been a member of the Future Farmers of America, Beta Club, Bulldog Baseball and Football teams, and on the FFA Electricity Team.
He plans to attend Southern Arkansas University and major in Engineering.
Kendall Porter, daughter of Saul and Tracy, ranks seventh with a grade point average of 4.0000. While attending Hampton High School, Kendall has been a member of Beta Club, FBLA, Bulldog Buddies, Women of Wisdom, Gifted and Talented, and Lady Bulldog Tennis.
She plans to attend Southern Arkansas University and major in Nursing.
Amariah Swygart , daughter of Antonio Swygart and Astran Williams, ranks eighth with a grade point average of 3.9592. While attending Hampton High School Amariah has been a member of the Beta Club, FBLA, Bulldog Buddies, Americorps, Student Council, class officers, Hampton Lady Bulldog Basketball, Softball, Tennis, and Cheer teams. She was also the 2023 Homecoming Queen along with being named Miss HHS.
She plans to attend SAUTech and major in Medical Office Management/ Administration.
Connor Rowland, son of Tommy and Lindsey Rowland, is ranked ninth with a grade point average of 3.9000. Connor was a member of Future Farmers of America, Beta Club, Gifted and Talented, Bulldog Baseball and Football teams, and the FFA Electricity Team.
He plans to attend Arkansas State University at Newport and pursue an H-Volt Lineman Degree.
Ni’Marah Cross, daughter of Marquita Cross, is ranked tenth with a grade point average of 3.8261. While attending Hampton High School, Ni’Marah was a member of Beta Club and the Lady Bulldog Basketball and Cheer teams.
She plans to begin working at Lockheed Martin after graduation.
Charley Laws, daughter of Andrea Lampirez, ranks eleventh with a grade point average of 3.7959. While attending Hampton High School, she was a member of FBLA, FFA, Beta Club, Secretary of Student Council, on the Lady Bulldog Tennis Team where she received All Conference, and an All American Bulldog Cheerleader. Charley was also the 2023 Homecoming Maid of Honor.
She plans to attend Henderson State University and major in nursing with a minor in Military Science.
Jackson Cole, son of Donny and Julie Cole, ranks twelfth with a grade point average of 3.7872. While attending Hampton High School, he was a member of FFA, Beta Club and on the Bulldog Baseball team.
He plans to become an electrical lineman after graduation. Riley Alexander ranks thirteenth with a grade point average of 3.7778.
Lilly Stewart, daughter of James and Amy Estes, ranks fourteenth with a grade point average of 3.7458. While attending Hampton High School, Lilly was a member of Beta Club, Bulldog Buddies, and Choir.
She plans to attend Southern Arkansas University and major in Psychology and minor in Criminology.
Alana Thompson, daughter of Phylicia Thompson, ranks fifteenth with a grade point average of 3.7391. While attending Hampton High School, Alana was a member of Beta Club, Women of Wisdom, a class officer, on the Lady Bulldog Basketball and track teams, on the Honor Roll for 4 years, and a Bulldog Scholar for 4 years.
She plans to attend The University of Central Arkansas and major in Exercise Science and pursue Physical Therapy.
Sarah Walker, daughter of Banner Rogers, ranks sixteenth in the class with a grade point average of 3.7255. While attending Hampton High School, she was a member of Beta Club.
She plans to attend Arkansas State University and major in Criminology and plans to become an FBI Agent.
Sara Avant, daughter of Darell and Natasha Avant, ranks seventeenth with a grade point average of 3.6780. While attending Hampton High School, Sara was a member of FFA, where she served as President, Beta Club Vice President, Bulldog Buddies President, President of the Senior Class, First Priority, Yearbook Editor, FBLA, Quizbowl, Robotics, Choir, Hogskin Hunnies, and she also completed many hours of various community service projects. Sara was also a National Youth Delegate with WYSE in Washington, D.C. where she volunteered at Shenandoah National Park.
She plans to attend Lyon College and major in Biology and Veterinary Science and plans to return to Hampton to open her own large and small animal veterinarian practice.
Laken Williams, daughter of Stanley and Sharee Williams, ranks eighteenth with a grade point average of 3.6735. While attending Hampton High School, she was a member of Beta Club, FBLA, Women of Wisdom, Bulldog Buddies, and on the Lady Bulldog Softball and Tennis teams.
She plans to attend South Arkansas Community College and become a Registered Nurse.
Toney Porter, son of Saul and Tracy Porter, ranks nineteenth in the class with a grade point average of 3.5490. While attending Hampton High School, Toney was a member of FFA and on the Hampton Bulldog Football and Baseball teams.
He plans on attending Southern Arkansas University and majoring in Mechanical Engineering.
Shooter Parker, son of Doug and Kellie Parker, is an Honor Graduate with a grade point average of 3.7500. While attending Hampton High School, he was a member of Beta Club and voted “Most Likely to Succeed” multiple years. Shooter was a virtual student and worked to graduate a year early while working a full time job. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, deer hunting, fishing, and working on motors.
He plans to continue working on mechanics, having a family, being happy, and loving Jesus.
