Hampton Schools Get New Principals for New School Year

Hampton School District has made many changes for the upcoming 2024-25 school year. Both the elementary and high school will be getting a new principal.

Taking the place as elementary principal will be Keli Inzer, a Hampton Native. Keli has been in education for over ten years and seven of those years have been dedicated to serving in the Hampton School District. Keli has earned a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education and a Master of Education with a focus Teacher Leadership along with a Master of Educational Leadership. Keli's roles at Hampton have gone from elementary classroom teacher, high school counselor, curriculum coordinator, ESL director and K-12 assistant principal.

Keli states, 'I am thrilled about all the amazing things happening in our school! I'm eager to keep the momentum going and make things even better. My goal is to make learning more exciting for students while prioritizing the development of a supportive and inclusive school culture where every student feels valued and empowered to succeed.' When asked what would you like the community to know about you Keli says, 'I want our community to know that I'm fully committed to collaborating with you all to ensure our students receive the best possible opportunities to prepare them for the world ahead. As Principal, I believe in open communication, and my door is always open for your input and ideas. Let's work together to empower our students to overcome any challenges they may face and thrive in their academic journey.'

Another Hampton native will also be joining the district. Krysta Parker will be starting this next school year as High School Principal. Krysta's education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Mid-Level Education from UofA Monticello and a Master of Educational Leadership from Arkansas State. With fifteen years of experience Krysta has held many different titles in education including paraprofessional, middle school math teacher, assistant principal and principal.

'Hampton is home. I'm proud to be from Calhoun County and a graduate from Hampton High School. It is important to me to give back in the place that helped build me. I'd love to see students form Hampton graduate prepared for the rest of their life-whether that is the job market, trade school, or college. I want our students to have a plan and all the tools and foundation they need to take the next steps in having their best life possible,' Krysta says. She also states she is ready to get home and get to work. While being away from Hampton has helped her grow and gain experiences, she is ready to come back and share those with her hometown.

Tom Sawyer and Bryan Sanders have held their title as principal for the past decade. Although Sawyer and Sanders were able to have many different position at Hampton including bus driver, teacher, coach, principal, and now onto the next role. For Tom that will be Federal Programs Coordinator and for Bryan, Director of Student Services. When asked about their time at Hampton both agree that “Hampton has a great school, staff, students, and community. We are excited to serve the district in these new positions. We are honored that you have given us your support and trust over the years to work with your children. We both look forward to a great year!”
