Just do what I want and agree with it. That is the simple solution. No arguments. No debates.
For the next few months we will be experiencing the rhetoric of all views, knowing their way is the obvious solution. Disagreement will be demonized and dishonored. Opposition will not be tolerated and compromise is unforgivable. Welcome to the new world of uncensored politics and unfiltered mudslinging.
Either side can be accused of bad ads and awful statements unbecoming of a civil statesman. Accusations range for outright lies to over exaggeration of accomplishments of either the other side or themselves.
If you listen closely, just enough not to get mad, you can hear the same words and the same actions being displayed. Take away the names and faces and leave the rhetoric and it's all the same. They both accuse the other of what they want to hide. They demonize the other over the actual policies they propel. I think they believe we are stupid and ignorant enough to believe the idiotic rants they project upon the opposition. They think if it is mentioned enough we will believe it to be true. They think the stupid commercials and ads will cause us to agree with and blindly do what they expect.
We are not stupid. We are not robots assigned to do the will of others. We have a mind of our own. We are not mindless sheep. We know the government is out to get us. We know...
