The past week was Homecoming and Fair Pageants all within just a day or two of each other. I have been to enough pageants to know the work it takes to make it happen. The behind the scenes coordination and planning just to host the smallest of pageants is not easy and is time consuming.
Kudos go out to all those involved in making the Calhoun County Fair Pageant happen. Brandy Welch (Pageant Director) did a tremendous job along with those helping. Some of those listed include: Sonya Harrell, Zach Anders, Kristin Dunn, Ashley Black, Amy Wood and Mandy Bradley. There were other businesses and individuals that played an inessential part in making the Pageant run as smooth as it did including Events by Zachary, Judy's Flowers & Gifts, DM Apparel, Becca's Beyond Compare, Jason Thomason, Amy Farris, Regina Bethea, Joni Wilson, Harley Strickland, Calhoun County Extension Service as well Judge Floyd Nutt, staff and the Calhoun County Fair Board.
Why mentioned all these folks by name? Because most of these gave up valuable time to give the girls in the pageant a great positive experience that will last a lifetime.
Thanks to all those patrons and the parents who gave their time and talents. It's no easy task.
