The Arkansas Sheriffs Association provided grant funds that Hampton Schools used to purchase Drug-Free items that were given out to the students before Halloween. All the items that were purchased through the grant, provided a message that encourages the students to stay away from drugs.
Positive re-enforcement against the continued mire of illegal drugs is the purpose and motivation from this grant.
The Arkansas Sheriffs Association continues to provide encouragement in a positive direction against drugs and to make parents aware, that these are real dangers that are facing our children.
Sheriff of Calhoun County Vernon Morris, would like to take this opportunity to thank the Sheriff’s Association for their continued support of the Red Ribbon Week Grant that provides these funds, in an attempt to teach our kids the dangers of using illegal drugs.
“If we can begin to teach this at the youngest of ages, the message should carry on through their lives”. Morris said.
