The Hampton Lady Bulldogs took the road to face the Smackover Buckaroos. Hampton held a 23-13 lead at halftime, but Smackover used a 22 point third quarter to storm back into the game. Not to be denied, Hampton closed the game on a 17-8 run to seal the win, 59-43. Talented sophomore Jakayla Stephens continued her early season dominance with a 17 point game. Sharpshooting sophomore Kennedi Daniell set a personal best with 16 points to go along with 4 three pointers in the game. Freshman guard Emalyn Patterson contributed 14 points with two three pointers of her own in the hard fought win. The Lady Bulldogs improved to 7-2 and look to ride their great start into conference play.
