Thornton will kick-off the Calhoun County Hogskin Holidays Festival on Saturday, April 5, 2025 with live music for entertainment by “William and Friends Band” and “Aaron Courtney” beginning at 3:00 p.m., along with a barbecue dinner from 3:00 p.m.to6:00p.m. Valuable door prizes will be awarded. Tickets may be purchased for $12.00 each. This is a yearly event sponsored by Thornton Step-By-Step, Inc., an organization within the community, working in conjunction with the City of Thornton, focusing on community improvement.
