Following a special called meeting on January 3, the Hampton School Board voted to retain the services of McPherson & Jacobson Executive Recruitment and Development for their search for a new superintendent. The company will works with the community, teachers, students and administration in helping the board to find the best person for the position.
Immediately following the vote, they proceeded with ideas of what they wanted in a new superintendent. They proposed a timeline for the process and details of the search methods and criteria. The position is already posted and the deadline for application set for February 23. Other tentative dates include: March 14, finalists selected for interviews; March 27-30, interviews (including with a community and student lead team); April 18, selection of new Superintendent; July 1, start date.
