Tuesday's night Hampton school board meeting we had a couple of resignations and new hires.
Mathew Belin resigned as school board member for Zone 2 and was hired as athletic coach. Kelsey Samuel was appointed to the school board position. The school board elected officers for the new year. Lindsey Rowland was elected President , Jeremy Duncan as Vice President and Corey Thomas as Secretary.
Tara Gates resigned as elementary teacher and math interventionist.
Allison Young was hired as Elementary and High School Art Teacher.
Matt Scarbrough, new superintendent, was appointed District Representative to South Central Coop Act of 2023.
At the end of the meeting the board worked together to set goals for the new year.
The next regular board meeting is set for Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at 6:00 p.m.
