Thank you to the Calhoun County Extension Service staff, fair superintendents, Extension Homemakers, supporters and exhibitors who made the 2023 fair a success.
The 2023 County Fair had 71 exhibitors in the Home Economics building. Ten educational exhibits were up for viewing. Calhoun County Extension 4-H – One Size Fits All, Artesian EH Club – Volunteers are the Heart of Extension Homemakers, Thornton EH Club – Ways to Avoid Burn Out, Needle Art EH Club – Water It Does a Body Good, Smart Belles EH Club – Power Up Your Workout With the Right Fuel, Daughters of the American Revolution Chicot Trace Chapter – 13 Original Colonies, Calhoun County Emergency Management – We Are Storm Ready Be Prepared, CADC – Program and Services, NRCS – How Does Your Garden Grow?, United Community Resource Council – Suicide Prevention Awareness.
There were five Tablescape settings representing Christmas, Fall, Breakfast, Thanksgiving and Birthday.
Handicrafts welcomed new first time exhibitors who exhibited a doll house, fortune teller ball and a dragon house.
Clothesline Art exhibited by the Hampton Elementary was enjoyed by all. Thank you to the teachers, students and art teacher for participating.
