John Howard Tatum 65, was born October 25, 1958, to the union of Rev. Howard Tatum and Flossie Tatum of Harrell, Arkansas. He departed this life on December 1, 2023 with his family by his hospital bedside.
John Howard Tatum accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. He united with First Baptist Church in Harrell, Arkansas.
John Howard Tatum received his formal education from Hampton Public Schools, graduated from the University of Arkansas at Monticello and worked at International Paper Company for 42 years, holding various positions including forestry, technology, and analytical before retiring in 2023.
Mr. Tatum was predeceased by his father; brother, Thomas Pickett; and sister, Janice Tatum Junior.
He leaves to cherish his
memory his two sons, Jerme Tatum of Bossier City, Louisiana, and John Junior Tatum (spouse) of Manhattan, Kansas; his loving mother, Flossie Mae Tatum of Harrell, Arkansas; two sisters, Frances Tatum Crawford of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Judy Tatum Henderson of Little Rock, Arkansas; along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, former UAM football friends, and other lifelong friends.
