The rescheduled School Board meeting began with Kamil Greenwood leading the Pledge of Allegiance and Kaylee Davis the opening prayer. It was followed by an impressive report of the Hampton Choir highlights by Daniel Williams, director.
Appreciation certificates were given to school board members for their service over the past year, as January is School Board Appreciation Month. There were policy approvals for items including, school choice, Act 1240 Waiver for early school start and a technology resource policy limiting use of school resources for contacting legislators.
It was approved to make up the missed school days by adding a few minutes to each day instead of adding days at the end of the year but until the State decides on how many days will be needed action will not be taken. The extended days could start the first of February.
The Superintendent's contract was extended for another year. Kim Whitmer, cafeteria manager is retiring and Coach Moore is appointed temporary AD.
