James William Nations

37, of Locust Bayou, passed away on February 23, 2025, at his home. He was born on October 2, 1987, in El Dorado, AR to Kimberly Sparkman and Allen Nations. James was a 2005 graduate of Emerson High School. He worked as an operator for Lockheed Martin and was attending school at South Ark to complete his degree in Electrical and Instrumentation. James was a God-fearing family man who loved his girls more than life itself. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting, pig showing, basketball, softball, and anything his girls wanted to do. James was a good man with a big heart who left us to soon.

James was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Billy Gatlin, Douglas Kelley, and Bobby Nations; and his uncle, Mathew Gatlin. He is survived by the love of his life, Mary Beth, and their five beautiful girls, Gracey, Kinsley, McKaylah, Jameson, and Bristol; and one son, Langston Munn. James is also survived by his parents, Ivan and Kimberly Speakman, Allan and Shelia Nations, and Randy Maness; brothers, Joel Ball (Summer) and Waylon Ball (Halie); sisters, Becky Slaughter (Cody) and Lucinda Battle (Josh); grandparents, Polly Gatlin and Elise Nations; mother-in-love, Janie McKay and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
