Diane McKinnie, 71, died March 21, 2023. She was born July 19, 1951, in Little Rock, AR to Dr. Tom L. and Lib Dunn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Bob Dunn; a grandson, Wyatt Earnest and a nephew, Joel Stringfellow.

Martha Jane “Jennie” Strong McCulloch Barrow

Martha Jane “Jennie” Strong was born in Sumpter District, South Carolina, on December 6, 1838, to Elijah Frink Strong (18041860) and Sarah Eleanor Barrineau Strong (18101850). Jennie’s father, Judge Elijah Strong, was a farmer and a judge born in Connecticut who moved to South Carolina where Jennie’s mother had been born. Sarah belonged to the Huguenot family with the name of Barrineau. Sarah’s father was Isaac Barrineau. Elijah and his family moved to Ouachita County about 1846 when Jennie was eight. He was living in Champagnolle Township, Ouachita County, in 1850, with nine children. This area later became Calhoun County.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Forrest Borst and Florence McCune Borst Cromoga; one son, Tracy Williams; and one sister, Arlene Ellis. She is survived by her husband, Hershel Williams of Hampton; three sons, Allen (Elsa) Williams of San Diego, CA, Randy (Kim) Williams of Hampton, Garth (Kelly) Williams of Jacksonville; two sisters, Louise Geary of Arlington, WA, Jewel Heske of Alberta, Canada; nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
