Forty-two seniors will participate in graduation exercises at Hampton High School on Friday, May 17, at 7:00 p.m. in the school gymnasium. Class Valedictorian, Shakara Miles, and class Salutatorians, Tianna Moore and Alaina Welch, will address the class. Mr. Bryan Sanders, Principal, will recognize scholarship recipients, followed by the presentation of the class and the awarding of diplomas by Mr. Matt Scarbrough, Superintendent of Hampton Schools.

Ever since Hamas unleashed itself on Israel in October, far-left Democrats and corrupt university leaders have allowed antisemitism to overrun America’s once great higher education institutions. All law and order and academic integrity have been thrown out the window as elitist, pro-Hamas student protest groups continue setting up ’Gaza Solidarity’ encampments at their schools to protest Israel’s right to protect itself from terrorism. In some states, law enforcement has acted swiftly to shut down the mobs; in others, university leaders have protected the protesters, allowing them to continue their hateful demonstrations.

William Shannon Evins, Seventh Sheriff of Calhoun County from 1880-1887

William Shannon Evins was born June 30, 1844, in Tennessee, the son of Captain John H. Evins 18181904 and Martha “Mary” J. Shannon 1818-1884. Both of his parents were born in Tennessee. Known siblings were Tennessee E. Evins, born after they moved to Mississippi, John W. Evins, Josephine Evins Douglass, and Mary Theodocia “Dosia” Evins Farrell, 6 months. The last three were born after moving to Arkansas.

age 70 of Hampton died Monday, April 22, 2024 at Ouachita County Medical Center in Camden. She was born February 9, 1954 to the late Tom and Joyce Ritchie. She is retired from Chemtura, where she worked for 17 years. She was also a sales rep for Rexel and Electric prior to Chemtura.
