Hampton/Faustina United Methodist Churches presented over 50 Cuddly Teddy Bears on November 14, 2023 to the Law Enforcement and Ambulances in Calhoun County. Each agency, Hampton City Police, Calhoun County Sheriff’s office, Arkansas State Troopers, Arkansas Highway Police and Pro-Med Ambulance Service were presented 10 bears each for children they encounter to give them comfort.

Beginning the Board meeting, prayer was given by Elementary Student Tate Sanders and the Pledge of Allegiance led by Elementary Student Hensley Daniell (picture at right.) The picture above is the group of FFA/Ag students that just returned from a National Livestock competition and was the Bulldog Spotlight for the meeting highlighting the HHS FFA/ Agriculture Program. The 9th Annual Calhoun County Christmas Parade Committee is pleased to announce that the parade will be held on December 14, 2023 at 6:00 PM. We are inviting all businesses, churches, schools or civic or social groups to participate this year. Let’s make it fun and festive. This year the school board, rather the Superintendent Matt Scarbrough, has given students the privilege of leading the Pledge of Allegiance and opening prayer at eh meeting. They are chosen from both the high school and elementary school.

LITTLE ROCK AIR FORCE BASE, ARK. – Thunder Over the Rock, Little Rock AFB’s first air show since 2018 is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 21 and Sunday, Oct. 22. Admission and parking for the air show are free. The main gate opens at 8:00 a.m. to the general public and closes at 5:00 p.m.
