And making choices is about setting priorities. House Republicans have made it clear that cutting spending, securing the border, and keeping our men and women in uniform paid are our top priorities. On Friday, my vote reflected that.

The Calhoun County Farm Bureau held its annual meeting on Thursday, September 21. With over 25 in attendance, the organization reviewed activities for the previous year, appointed board members and officers for the next year, and Austin Lester from the State Office explained ’What Farm Bureau is’ to the group. Hampton FFA officers attended the meeting as guest speakers. Chapter President Sara Avant spoke to the group about all the activities that they have been involved in and upcoming events and contests. The September Student of the Month was announced: Claire Beaver.

Blessings were showered upon our little community last Saturday at the Hampton High School gym. A large variety of items were given away to those who needed or wanted them. There were clothing for men, women, boys, girls, and infants.
